Economic and mathematical modeling of evaluating the effectiveness of sports and fitness organizations during the crisis

Abstract

The ongoing processes in the global economic and political system in recent years have contributed to the development of the global economic crisis throughout the world, as well as in Russia. The reason contributing to the emergence of crisis situations in the global economy was first the pandemic of coronavirus infection, and in 2022 – sanctions imposed against the economic system of our country. All these factors have a negative impact, first of all, on the activities of organizations in the service sector, among which we can single out the fitness industry market, which, having not had time to recover from the negative impact on the economy of the pandemic, again found itself in a severe crisis situation due to the ongoing processes in the country in 2022. Sharp inflation, a decrease in the level of the solvency of the population, the decline in the income of fitness centers due to the outflow of the population from the country – all this directly affects the financial well-being of sports and fitness organizations. The article proposes an economic and mathematical model that reveals the dependence of the development of sports and fitness organizations on the crisis conditions of the economic development of the country. The use of forecasting methods of indicators characterizing the state of the fitness industry, based on the construction of regression models of dependence, will allow to determine the trends of its development depending on the prevailing macroeconomic indicators. The data obtained can be used by sports and fitness organizations to develop an anti-crisis management strategy for the coming years, which will allow implementing preventive measures when negative trends are detected.
