Making management decisions to adapt the ESG concept at energy enterprises

Abstract

Energy companies are experiencing market transformations and uncertainties, in connection with which the management approaches have been updated in the context of sustainable development. New methodological provisions and approaches to the development and adoption of management decisions are proposed, taking into account the conditions for ensuring national energy interests to achieve the adjusted goals of sustainable development of energy enterprises, the essence and novelty of which lies in supplementing the ESG concept with the principles of taking into account national interests, expressed in environmental management, ensuring long-term sustainability development of companies based on the diversification of the resource base and product line, following the interests of the technological development of the state, balanced transformation of business processes, spatial innovative development, etc. tasks of Russia.
The theoretical significance and practical usefulness of these developments lies in their applicability in the management activities of energy companies to achieve the planned commercial results, taking into account the national interests of Russia, with the consistency of the supplemented provisions of the original ESG concept, which allows Russian companies to fulfill the ESG conditions for presence in foreign markets.
