Assessing the level of digital maturity of the region

Abstract

In modern conditions, one of the strategic priorities for the Russian Federation is to ensure national interests in the field of digitalization. The relevance of using the calculation of the values of the target indicators that are set for the implementation of the national development goal of the RF “Digital Transformation” is growing more and more. The purpose of the article is to study the assessment of the digital maturity of regions in the era of digitalization. The article considers the criteria on the basis of which the maturity of the regions is assessed. Digital transformation is not the achievement of abstract maturity, but the conquest of its level that corresponds to the subject itself. Therefore, the analysis of the problems of digitalization development, in particular, the tasks of assessing and identifying factors affecting digital maturity, is attributed to the actual tasks of modern research. The transition to digital technologies increases the competitiveness of the national economy, they not only help to solve communication, management, educational and other tasks, but also provide an opportunity to improve the quality of public services. The paper formulates the goals of socio-economic entities to achieve digital maturity. It is concluded that, the assessment of the digital maturity of the regions is necessary to obtain a complete picture of the level of development of the digital society.
