Abstract

Currently, demographic processes in our country have acquired a strongly pronounced negative connotation. This was facilitated by many different factors and, above all, a decrease in the birth rate and an increase in mortality, as a result of which the processes of depopulation are becoming more and more clearly manifested. In turn, the level of demographic development of the region serves as an indicator of the standard of living and well-being of the population of the region.

The purpose of the study proposed by the authors is to form an assessment methodology and to identify the most significant factors influencing the level of demographic development of the regions of the Volga Federal District (PFD), using methods of multidimensional statistical and cluster analysis.

The result of the study is a quantitative assessment of the level of demographic development of the regions of the Volga Federal District on the basis of the functional dependence of the main components on the initial indicators obtained by the authors. The clustering of the regions of the Volga Federal District, based on the values of the main components, made it possible to classify them according to the level of demographic development. As a result of a comparative analysis of the average values of the main components of the regions of each of the clusters identified by the authors, the factors that should be paid special attention to each region of the Volga Federal District are identified. The methodology proposed by the authors can be used to assess the level of demographic development of regions and other districts of the Russian Federation, taking into account their characteristics.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

In the context of the transition of the world economy to the sixth technological order, marked, in particular, by large-scale processes of digital transformation of economic relations, many experts agree that blockchain and digital currencies of central banks (CBCBs) built on their basis, as one of the innovations of today, will have a significant impact on business processes. In particular, these technologies play a special role in the sphere of building and new organization of transnational payments and supporting global trade in general, including as part of the involvement of new participants whose access is limited by the current cost of cross-border money transfers, as well as infrastructural restrictions in the financial sector. Researchers attach no less importance to the technologies under consideration in the context of a tool for building a new system for organizing financial transactions in the context of sanctions restrictions on the access of national economies to global clearing services (SWIFT, etc.). However, it should be noted that the study of the feasibility of using digital currencies as part of ensuring cross-border payments in the context of systemic transformations requires, in addition to a systemic analysis of technological and regulatory risks, justification of the generated effects in both the economic and social spheres. This article is devoted to the solution of these issues, through the prism of developing conceptual approaches to the study of the problems posed.
